I hate this book.

I hate this book so much that I hate it.

It's not because it sucks but it's too painful. Too painful for me because of what Prince Myshkin did to my Aglaia. How can he do that? How can he be such a dolt?He is an idiot in every sense of the word. They say that his idiocy is merely his naivity of the world. Always sees the goodness in others, letting them fleece him, abuse him and still manage to forgive. People making fun of him and that's alright. Only Aglaia sees thru him.And Natasya. Both women love him but of different kind. Whom did he choose? The one of bad kind. Serves him right. But I feel sorry for what happened to my poor Aglaia, the jilted one. Rushed off to a bad marriage. It's all Myshkin's fault! I hate him.He made himself crazy that's for sure. Bad choices.

To lessen my pain, I watched my fave Pride and Prejudice and trying to read the book for the 4th time. To wash away the feeling of pain this stupid book brought me.

Is this really my first post for 2009?

I'm so tamad!

What is happenning to me? Very busy with work. Stressed too but I DON'T WANT THINK ABOUT IT ON MY WEEKEND OFF! I think I'm going to be sick. Me Uncle says I'm too pale. I have'nt been sleeping well lately and I've been holding pee often because I'm too busy going to the loo! (It kills me at night when I'm about to sleep). I need to pay more attention to myself. Right, go to the washroom when I need to.

I need to buy a new top for Saturday. It has to be red. I only have blue.

My grandma is pressuring me to finish my box.

My mother drives me nuts because of her neighbor.

My back is killing me for sitting for a long period of time.(Thank God I don't gain weight!)

I'm so sick of my Patapon game because I could'nt finish the bloody stage!

And for some insane reason why do I keep on spending?!

At least I love my book "The Idiot" by Dostoevsky.

I just spoke with my parents on the phone.

I saw a new clip from Harry Potter. Can't wait til July 17.

My husband's papers are being processed.

I'm going to attend a friend's bachelorette's party on Friday.( I hope the pizza delivery guy is not gay...)

And I've reacquainted with my long lost friend. Thank God for Facebook! (Hi Minnie!).

I have nothing much to say.

Last night I attended our company's Christmas Party at Mistura in downtown TO.I love the hors'd oeuvres.I love the appetizer(I had lamb) but I don't like the main course(coz' I picked it myself, sea bass..why is it that I always want what I don't have?as I was eyeing my co worker's veal..)Oh I also love the drinks.I had sex on the beach cocktail and jose cuervo tequila. Funny I went to work wearing jeans.How was I to know I had to dress up for the party??? I was forced to buy at least a blouse at Costa Blanca.Cost me $33 bucks thank you very much.But it's worth it. At least I did'nt have to spend the rest of the night thinking how foolish and under dress I look.

My baby husband and I have been taking care of his papers.Little by little we try to answer the forms.

Still trying to learn a few more things at work.Hope I can do them all.

Tagal ko ng di nag blog! So much has happened in my life lately. For starters I got me a job. It's a good job. Never in my life would I expect that something this good will come my way. I am now a trainee (4weeks next) at a recruitment firm in Downtown Toronto.I will be a staffing coordinator. I will staff people to different clients, just like my old work in the Philippines except I'm working on the computer and the phone. Very stressful at that.I wear office clothes now, office coat, office shoes and even office hair( he he he I use ceramique to straighten my hair). It has done a good deal to my self-esteem too! Love it. And darn proud of it.

2 weeks ago my FIL passed away. My baby was distraught, so was everybody else in his family. I had a great kinship with Tatay Erning, bless his soul. I'm glad that a lot of my relatives also went to his wake.

Then my uncle got stabbed in the tummy(he's ok now don't worry) and my Dad had a little problem with his health(he's ok now don't worry.Can just take his meds).

Oh well, life's like that.

Nothing. Basically nothing. Still job hunting though...I hate this. I hate doing this. Hated it. Will ever hate it. The thing that I dread the most has finally come. Came.Whatever.

I thought I could'nt make it. I was out yesterday handing out my resumes. Just went to the stores here and there "Are you guys hiring?" Most of them just accepted my resume.Oh they're use to it.That's the way here. All I have to do is just be more Canadian.Right. I have'nt been to agencies though. I will do that next week.I have sent emails too.

I also have another plan in sight.Going back to school.If only I know what to get....Scratch out Practical Nursing. Too much hoopla, too much requirements. Nevermind that I'm afraid of blood, can't stand pain, don't like working at night. You need to be at school for 2 years too.They have a good salary a salary though. Well I guess its not really for me.

Next option is Dental Assisting. I can't afford Dental Hygiene($13k for a year!) so I thought of the next thing to it.

Or maybe Office Admin.

Ok I never realized that the church ceremony will be the most memorable to me.Puro sa reception kasi ang focus ko eh.Kwento ko na ha...We got to the church 30 minutes early.Buti nalang at di ako late dahil isa ito sa kinaka stress ko.Nag alay kami ng itlog ke Sta.Clara 3 days before the wedding. Nung umaga makulimlim, paalis namin sa hotel maaraw, pag dating ko sa church makulimlim uli at mahangin na.Pag kalabas na pagkalabas ko sa kotse,habang pagtapak ko sa pinto ng simbahan, biglang buhos ang ulan.As in buhos! Di ko lang type yung mga nakadikit sa taas ng wall na pang silid aralan e.g. Manuyo, etc.(kung sabagay what do I expect eh school ito??)

Church:I loved the flowers although in passing ko lang sya na appreciate at na sight. What can I do I was on cloud 9?! But based on the pics seen, maganda ang calla lillies at fresh.

Bouquets: I love my bouquet.Ang aga din nila dumatin sa hotel ha? Usapan 10 ang call time dumating ng 7:30AM.Hummhh sige na nga very punctual kaya lang syempre medyo nagbrown na yung edges ng flowers.(buti di lahat at di kita sa pics).Very impressed din yung ento ko at Ninangs kasi Lawrence gave them roses and green mums.

Over all they made it good for me.Carol was also on time during our first meeting.She anwers to my queries all the time.A lot of people commented on how organized the wedding was.Parang mga kabigan ko na din sila. I had no qualms working with these guys!

Wedding: Based on the raw pics that we saw ok naman.Magaganda.Like I said, Rupert was so easy to work with.I guess its just fortunate that we got married on an off peak season.

Their admin work is yet to be judged.The first cd that we received was defective.Buti di naman mahirap kausap si Rhian at pinalitan nila agad.But the thing is we had to go back to Pasig eh taga LP kami.Now as I type this Rhian is no longer connected to NP.The layout that I chose is not permissible na daw because I chose it late!!! Hello how come you did'nt inform me or text me na dapat pala eh may I choose na the design.Kainis!

Anyway sabi naman nga baby ko eh okay naman daw yung lay out kahit simple.Humph! Plus, wala pa kaming fish eye effect that NP is famous for! Nakalimutan daw gawin ni Rupert kaya ayun wala kaming fish eye! Another kainis!

Humhh...ok lang sakin ang hotel na ito...Kahit na medyo mukang luma na yung room(sabi naman ni Carol ok naman daw at spacious).We had Park Tower Suite kasi with kitchenette naman at talagang kasya kaming lahat.Ayoko lang yung view!Grr!! Pag kita ko sa labas parking lot at puro sidewalk vendor.Kainis imbes na ma relax ka eh.

The thing that really pissed me off was that we almost could'nt use their bloody staircase!Totoo naman kasing me function dun sa adjoining room ng stairs.Ayaw ba naman kaming payagan!Di ba pwedeng patabihin muna yung mga tao para lang ma picturan ako???Buti nalang nakiusap yung Mommy ko sa officer ng org na me function! Kaya nakapag pictorial ako dun...Eh pagbaba ko naman walang mga tao! Grr talaga!

Ok!Violent reactions kaagad.In fairness to them masarap naman yung food.Madaming nasasarapan sa food namin at maaga din silang nag set.Maayos din yung appearance ng table set up nila at performance ng waiters nila.Mura din sa kanila kaya we opted to get this caterer.Tight din budget eh.

Kaya lang...eto mahaba ito.Marami akong mga kapamilya na nagsabi na nagreklamo dahil:

Naubusan kami ng food: Yung mga nasa huli na di na daw nakakuha ng lechon at salad.Others never had the chance to have second helpings.We only had 196 registered guests.We paid for 235 pax + 5% buffer.Paano kami mawawalan ng pagkain???Yung Tita ko galit na galit dahil gustong mag uwi ng left over, tinabla sya ng waiter saying " Ay di na po namin maibibigay yan sa inyo kasi di pa po kami nakakakain". Wala akong kamalay malay na binayaran ko rin pala yung 15 waiters na iyun eh wala naman sa contract.

Nawalan kami ng liquors: Ok galit na galit si Wah dito dahil pet project nya yang mga alak nya.We had 17 bottles of wines, 4 bottles of J&B,1 bottle of Fundador and 1 bottle of Black Label.Wala naman kaming naging problema sa wines dahil mukang naserve naman sila(karamihan)pero mukang di daw 17 bottles iyun. 2 bote lang ang nakita naming J&B at wala kaming nakitang anino ng Fundador.Yung black label kalahati lang ang nainom at di na naibalik sa amin.Syempre tinanong ni Bernie yung mga kakila nila kung nakainom sila at sabi nga wala daw. Duda namin, maibalik man sa amin yung bote eh pwedeng sinalin nila sa ibang container yung laman.Me nakakita pa sa ibang waiters na nag iinuman daw.

Maangas ang mga AE nila: Lam mo, iba talaga ang work ethos nila.Pag pupunta ka sa kanila yung ibang AE parang dedma,walang paki sa customers.Nakausap din ni Carol(coordinator)si Kathy na taga Queensland dahil nagrerequest nga kami ng extra tables, ayaw nilang magbigay at wala daw silang buffer!Samantalang malinaw na sabi nila na me 5% buffer sila.

Kaya kung kayo'y nagtitipid, try nyong maghanap sa iba.But if you don't have any choice, you have to contend with these hang ups.They're infamous for this.Nuon pa, di lang kami nakinig.

Every time I think about our wedding I feel a sudden pang in my chest.Its physical.

I miss the preps. I miss the stress. I miss the thought that I have something to think about when I have a problem. My perfect smokescreen to reality.

Ours was not a perfect one. But it sure was memorable and blessing filled. :-)

I cried my eyes out. I told myself that No, I would'nt cry when I said my goodbyes.But I did! The bloody card did it for me,specially the $250 cheque that came with it.It's too much! They're very generous when I thought they would'nt be.

There were times that I thought they don't care about me or think me invisible.But today,it changed all that(specially the $250 cheque that came with it)I cried the last hug, I cried when I went down and went to my favorite thinking spot.The toilet seat( Hey its closed! I wasn't pooing or anything...). I spent 3 years here.Time for me to move on...

Oh the look on his face when I said goodbye.Don't worry I'll still see you tomorrow.The only one who talked to me the most.The brainhead, the ultimate slacker, my friend.I'll sure miss you Robbie!

Hay...One of my problems...Thank God it has been solved.Initially we booked Bayview Hotel.Turned out its being renovated now but business as usual.I thought of staying on it nonetheless but who am I kidding?!Me lambat sa labas!Gusto ko bang mabagsakan ng boulder??

Took me 3 days of internet scouting and found Century Park Hotel Manila.At least I got one that is better and closer :-)More expensive here,no doubt,but what the heck!Minsanan lang naman eh.

Less Than A Month To Go..

Its almost here...

So much has happened in my life lately.First and foremost I've had a serious family drama and it terribly upset me.I'm almost over it now. God has always been there for me and I know that He does what is best for me and my family.

I'm also always gripped with roller coaster of emotions.One moment I'm depressed, anxious and petrifed of the future, then good things will come my way, even the most mundane one, then I'll feel so blessed,that I can conquer everything!

I have become stressed over finding and buying a dress for my friend's wedding on Saturday.Took me 3 bloody shopping malls and 3 dresses to finally found the one I feel most comfortable in. Why can't I be decisive?

Almost done packing....shopping....spending more money...money that I spent 3 years to save. (I'm not going to spend all of them though).But just think about it.I'm a proud penny pincher! I save every chance I got.I chose not to eat out or spend stuff for myself just so I can save. Makes me happy looking at my bank account( that has now dwindled).Still I want more!

Another chapter of my life is about to unfold........

My Mom picked up our souvenirs last Friday,June 13,2008. I ordered 150 pieces. Doctor's Appointment

I forgot to tell you about my visit to the doctor last June 7.I first went to Dr.Chan's office to ( shh.. to ask for BCP).He he he.I was excited.Di pako nakaka take nun noh! Buti nalang bingyan nya ako ng 3 sample!!! (actually I'm rooting for another one but binengga nako.sakim ba?:-)

Dahil sa nakatipid ako, nag pa twinrix vaccine ako.(for Hepa A and B) because you'll never know what I will eat when I get home.Am I a snob? Definitely not! I just so happen to like street food.Better safe than sorry.Actually I've had one last 2002 and Dr. Chan said it might not be enough. He also said I should get back to him for general check up (although I went to see him 6 months ago).

I'll just come back when I get home to TO.Libre naman eh!

After that I went shopping..sigh.. not for myself but for my love ones.Pasalubong.All I bought for myself was a La Senza bra and Victoria's Secret panty. I love their pink line! Hirap lang maka kuha ng size ko kasi malalaki! Eto nakakatawa, I really find it so embarassing to buy a bra.WHY?? Because my size is pathetic that's why.I try to hide it as much as I could.Especially after I have witnessed sales clerks gossipping about women's sizes (sabi ng isa "She is soooo not a 36 B!) Ok!! Try to hide my 32 A.

Ok we never exactly had a We-Went-To-A-Strip-Club kind of party(although we did pass one).Not even a party.We just went to a Friday night dinner downtown.I was surprised because I wasn't expecting it.They treated me at Spring Rolls and gave me lingeries intended for future use, 2 months from now.But we had so much fun! So much has happened last April.I was too busy to even jot anything here.I got my PR card already on Monday April 28. Wohoo.:-( anti climactic let me tell you.Then yesterday April 30, I took care of OHIP and SIN.

Oh, my Mom also bought taffeta fabric for the ento's gown.Cost us P3460 all in all including the transpo to Divisoria.My Mom, et.al met Ate Laila(whom they fell in love with,Text Mate!), for measurements.My Dad and cousins also went there separately for the measurements and brought my gown.

Meanwhile,my Aunt and I had been discussing our honeymoon venue.

Galing talaga ni Wah.Dami nya naasikaso last Sunday,April 13,2008. First he went to Bamboo Organ Church(to ask for the endorsement letter for our pre cana seminar and to ask about the paraphernalias and canonical interview, to which we are scheduled on the 18th of July). I told him to bring a cake for Ms.Miles dahil lagi syang nangungulit (as per my instruction to wah) :-) Ang dinala nya Mr.Donut!!Buti nalang andun si Father at nakikain din ng donut.He he he.Ang tawag tuloy ke Wah eh Mr.Donut. :-) Nagchika chika sila at bonding...

Then he went to Citadella to pay our RF of P5k(non-refundable) to Queensland Catering . Nagpa reserve na din sya ng 4 gallons of mineral water.

Lastly he went to Nature's Church(Mary Immaculate Parish) to give our endorsement letter for our pre cana seminar on July 19. There is a fee of P500 per couple.He was given a stub as receipt.

Then umuwi pa sya ng Maragondon.Grabe kaya pala pagod na pagod nung nakusap ko.Di bale very gud naman sya eh. :-)

Yehey!

I knew it! God will give it to me.It took me 3 years to finally reach this stage.So much has happened in my life.Sometimes I just think about my experiences here and they make me smile, sometimes tearful, and cringe for all the stupid stuff I did(believe me there's a lot).And a lot more to come.Makes me feel anxious and hopeful at the same time.

One chapter has been overcome.Oh how I will miss those nights I pray for this!

I'll start praying to be a Canadian citizen now! Still have 2 years to do it! :-)

Here's what happened.I woke up at 4:30am, took a 30-minute bath to wake me up,ate,dried my hair,etc. and left the house at 6:00.I reached Kipling station at 7:05.Went to the washroom twice to kill time.At 7:30am I went to the CIC office.There were 3 people there already, one a very talkative Filipina.We talked and at exact 8:00am the "cutie" called someone who was'nt there yet.Then the Filipina from another booth called my name.I went there and paid $490.Then she asked me to go to the "cutie's" booth. He just checked my passport, work permit, and asked if I have any child supporting back home; if I have a criminal record; and if I have been deported from Canada to which I said No! (of course! I'm even afraid to jaywalk!) Then he took my picture,asked me to verify the information written on it, made me sign it.Afterwards he said "Congratulations, you are now officially a Permanent Resident of Canada".Before that we flirted a little on the side he he he.

I got it March 27,2008.It was sent the day before and written the day before that.I am not expecting this so the news much sweeter.There I was not waiting for the mailman at all for I was sure it will come weeks more.I was thinking of what my reaction would be once I get it.Then I said to myself nahhhh!! Imposible namang dumating to kaagad!

Lo! pagbukas ko ng mailbox me nakita akong brown paper na nakasuksok sa Jewish newspaper,sabi ko mukahang paperbag ah.But I saw a glimpse of another brown envelope.Thinking that it could be for Alan like the last time I saw one and nearly had a heart attack thinking it could be for me and such devastation when it was'nt......Nasan nako? Pagkakita ko ng envelope hah!!My Name!!!! On a green paper.Nanginginig pa ang aking mga kamay sa pagbukas........The first thing I looked for was the schedule...Yes!!! Just a week after!

It's been 4 weeks , 2 days and 7 hours. But who's counting? Surely not I who, after the moment got that life altering letter, checks the mailbox every hour of every day. (I've gotten the schedule of the mailman every day so I don't check it as much.The chink of that mail box is music to my ears. For the past 4 weeks, I live and breathe for that mail to come. I have pleaded,prayed and sweated over it but it seems fate does not heed to my pleas. I still am on a roller coaster of emotions.Depressed one moment and numb the next.Every morning offers a new promise.Every afternoon a moment of despair.Then the cycle continues.

Perhaps my mistake is to have googled it. I have found out that others have gotten their letters after mere 2-3 weeks.One got his a day after.Never mind that theirs were processed 2 years before.Things must have changed now.No wonder I have been waitng for a month.Silly me for getting my hopes up.My friend has warned me about this.Oh well, I hope she isn't right. I still have 3 weeks to prove she's wrong.

Hello! It's been a long time since I posted something here.Primarily because of laziness.

Well after long months of draught we have booked another wedding supplier.Freshcuts for our 200 pieces cupcake (in a cupcake tree of course), 20 pieces minicakes and a ceremonial cake.I asked my Mom to go to their office yesterday (Thursday) afternoon to give 2k DP(courtesy of my fiance he he he).

I still have to look for the perfect cupcake tree design though.

I should have written this 3 weeks ago. I finished the last book ages ago.I spent the past month reading the HP series from book 1 to 7.We originally have 5 books(I never paid it any mind for the last 3 years).I sought my bookstores(all over Toronto) for used copies of the 6th and 7th book(its cheaper and friendlier to read).I went out at night just to buy the last one.I stayed every night until 1:30 in the morning reading. I read it when I eat.I read it when I pee for Pete's sake! I google for additional information and J.K.Rowling's interview.I fantasize about Harry and Ginny's future. I was freakin' obsessed! And then its over...

Nothing to look forward to at night.I was soo sad.

Oh well, just read them again and again....

Finally! After long agonizing months I finished this book last night.I don't know.This has'nt warmed up to me unlike the first one, I,Claudius. It accounts of Claudius' reign as an emperor and his relationship with his wife Messalina and his friend, Herod Agrippa.

I just found it gripping during the latter part of the story and his confrontation with his harlot of a wife. Makes me wonder, had Calpurnia not confront Claudius of Messalina's promiscuity, would history change? I think that this is the turning point of history and of the story.Because of what happened, Agippina came in to power, subsequently, of Nero(the infamous prosecuter of Christians).

Nah! Somebody else would have risen to power to give mayhem to all.

Nobody knows why we call each other wah.Its a secret between the two of us.Unless you can count my Mom's guess,which is correct much to my dismay,though I did'nt admit to saying yes.Mothers have an uncanny instinct of being right.She knows when I am lying.She knows when we did someting funny like......Or when I reek of........Anyway, the point is don't lie to your mother!!! Where was I? (I was straying as usual).

Yeah we met at work when I was an HR Assistant, and he a Logistics Officer at a leading chemical company in Manila.

I know super cliched huh? We met almost 6 years ago. I can still remember the exact moment we saw each other.No love connection then let me tell you. We both still were thin then and looking like "totoy and nene" Super payat as in! I still had short hair and he,no pot(beer) belly yet he he he.(nag gygym na sya promise!).

3 years of being together and 3 years and being apart? Things must have changed between us......We'll see.

The Snow Drifter

As I get up this morning to prepare for going to church(I go every Sunday at 7:30am prior to work) I saw a big pile up of snow outside.The snow storm came after all.As I went out,Lo! It was knee deep.( I was more concerned about ruining my fave boots though)I was seriously contemplating of going back home and go back to sleep(coz' its a 15-minute walk to the church).However, I changed my mind and plowed through with it so to speak. 7:30am

I love winter.It's my favorite season.No matter how cold it gets ( up to -27 to -32 without the wind chill) I still love it. I love the cold. I love the snow. It's just simply amazing. Snow flakes dropping from the sky.I always liken it to being inside a snow globe.Hayyyyy... Really, the best things in life are free.

I rarely have something to brag about.I hardly buy stuff to myself. I am a self confessed frugal. I enjoy saving, thank you very much. My cell phone is pathetically out of date.I only own a few pairs of shoes.Maybe out of habit. I grew up watching my pennies that I find it soo hard to roll them away.

That makes my purchases sweeter.This is my latest MP3/MP4.The newest from Sony. Only 4GB, it can chold up to 1,000 songs.I chose this over ipod because of the picture resolution.It's like watching a freaking movie when I watch videos.It's soooo sweet. Plus,ipod modifies its product every fall making them depreciate faster.I also chose 4GB over 8GB so I have a reason to replace it when I get bored over this.

I'm going to Europe.

Well not yet but I will.As soon as I finished saving for it.My Uncle Sam brought me to work last Sunday.As usual we got to talking about possibilities.My wedding for starters, on how I planned to move the date.Somewhere in the middle we got to talking about Europe.You see, he went there last year.He went from country to country only by train.Never in my imagination had it occured to me that I can do it.

Now I lust for it.

I want to go by myself.Perhaps after getting married.As a matter of fact I have begun saving and planning for it.I plan to go by 2009 or 2010.Hopefully I won't have a change of heart (as I often do),got chickened and not do it.

For the record,I want to backpack to Europe since November 25,2007.

I already read this one.Well, almost.I was 5 pages short of finishing it last year but lost interest.Last week I started reading it again and got to finish it last night.

It's an ok book.Very poignant in self-reflection kind of way.The content comes no surprise since I incorporate the teachings already in my life. I can't say its life altering for me.I did cry a bit though, especially on the part where Mitch was saying his last goodbye to coach.Morrie got to him at last.This teared me up.

All in all I would recommend it so you can go deeper in your view of life and death.

My First Canadian Baptism

For the first time here in Canada I attended a baptism.I was also fortunate enough to be a godparent to Raissa Anne,daughter to my friend Annalyn.Its a good thing that it was held in Scarborough and was just 20 minute drive from whitecap.My aunt and grandma dropped me off.I was the first one(as usual) to arrive.

The ceremony was very private.Unlike back home there were gazillion other babies being baptized at the same time.Afterwards we head off to Imperial Buffet.The restaurant was located where Wal-Mart used to be.I went home around 3:30.It was freaking cold outside!

My Medical Exams...

Then came Friday,November 16,2007.I tried not to think of what's to come on Friday all week long.I did'nt want to get stressed yet again and think of what ifs.(I lost a lot of weight because of that). It was easy and fast as I thought it would.I could have gotten to the clinic sooner if I did'nt gel lost.When I went inside the old building it was kind of deserted since it was already late in the afternoon around 4:15PM.I was the only patient.The Chinese receptionist was sooo nice, even on the phone that's why I chose their clinic in the first place. She asked me to produce my urine(of course).After that I saw Dr.Chan already. He asked me questions(I knew I should have reviewed!!)then examined my eyes,ears,tummy and breasts.He took my weight for which he said I was so tiny.He got my blood samples too.Then he said to go to the basement for my X-Ray.That's it,as fast as that.I think it only took me 15 minutes.A bit longer since I got to talking to the Filipina X-Ray technician.All in all it came like a blur.I just hope the result will be like that too.

A Sudden Change of Heart

I finally got my Open Work Permit and letter for my medical exams from the Canadian embassy last November 9,2008.The day was very significant since it came on a Friday.I am now a Divine Mercy devotee and goes to novena and mass every Friday.While I was still back home and processing my papers,my significant day was a Wednesday because Bernie and I always went to Baclaran church to say our Mother of Perpetual Help Novena(I still do the novena but never goes to church on Wednesdays anymore because of place restrictions.Not all of the churches here have a novena,let alone open all day long.So many idiots vandalize the church! I could'nt say that I was happy,for I rarely am,but say I felt so blessed.All along I knew God will give it to me.

However come Monday night,a Filipina told me that it might take me another 5 months to get my PR.What??!! I thought it won't take me long and I planned to go home on the last week of April.Everything is all set!! I was distraught and had been pretty shaken up and depressed.I thought of everything,every possible things that can happen and of course my back up plans.SO came Wednesday I emailed Missy,and the others if they are still open for July or August since I plan to go home on those months if ever.Missy emailed me right back saying she is still very much open on weekends of July and some dates on August!That reassured me and got my hopes and joy right up.At least, there is still hope after all...

My Super Hectic Weekend....

Hey, I have mentioned that my birthday was coming up right? Well it has come and gone.Same old same old.We had sushi, chow mein and of course red wine.(Darn, I think we're getting addicted to the thing) Red wine is really good for you, good for the heart.What makes you think the Italians live longer?

Then the following morning I had to dash off to my friends house,which is in the other side of Toronto.(They are from the west, us from the east).We were supposed to go to H&M's warehouse sale in Brampton.We did go there but the line up was soooooo long already.And we couldn't possibly wait that long since we have a baby with us and it was freakin' cold and windy outside.So we went to Vaughn Mills instead.It's not as good as a mall as I first thought it was.Mas type ko pa sa Yorkdale eh! Afterwards I treated them to lunch.Too bad I could'nt stay to get wasted.I had work at 5pm to 1am.

So I went to work,took a quick shower and got dressed.My grandma and I was asked to assist in Rebecca's bat mitzvah.Man oh man was it soo fun!!! Eventhough its basically a children's party everyone had a blast! It was so fun.The kids had fun, nakakahawa! There were airbrush tattoo,dancing,free picture taking,free pjs,tons of pizza and pasta! It was held at Beach Blast near Yorkdale Mall. I did'nt expect it to be that much fun considering its just a beach volleyball set up.But they were able to play dodge ball,volleyball, sand castle building,etc.Basta masaya sya! Period! Can you see my grandma's tattoo?As the young ones say here,it's poppin' fresh!

We finished at 1Am.As usual my adrenaline was high so I could'nt sleep very well.Kinabukasan hay naramdaman ko yung exhaustion.Natulog nalang uli ako pag uwi.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Nothing much exciting happened to me during the week.Except that last Monday it was a holiday and we had Thanksgiving dinner.Just the usual crowd.We bbqued steak,salmon,shrimps and vegetables.The vegetables were a hit though!(as introduced by me thank you thank you!)Sarap inihaw na onion,zucchini,red pepper and carrots.We drank wine and had fun! Sarap ng food at dami ko nakain. Kahit kokonti lang kami masaya naman. I got a little tipsy though I just had one glass of wine.Everybody looked funny and red.We got to talking about Boracay.How I wish we could go there for our honeymoon.But it would be too expensive since everyone in my family will sure to come(sino kaya magbabayad ng pamasahe???)Wish ko lang talaga.Saya sana kung lahat kami makapunta duon.

Oh,its also going to be my birthday on Friday.I just want to go to church is all.I have work the following night, then the following day.

Fall na talaga.There is already that bite in the air.Funny because I never feel depressed now, unlike during my first autumn here in 2005.Gloomy kasi ang weather plus my birthday falls on autumn.Feeling of isolation and desolation.But it does'nt bother me anymore.

Took me also a long time to decide on this one.I always do that.I find out what I want the first time then I still shop around for others,only going back to the first one I picked.Even in shopping for other stuff be it shoes,pants,gifts!I always, always want to look for everything else so I know I made the right choice.

The very first supplier we ever booked.I was too busy looking for a church and a venue that I never paid enough attention to who I was talking to on the email.I saw someone recommend them from w@w ,look them up and inquired if they can customize the package according to our budget.Sure enough they did!I talk mostly to Ms.Charisse Tinio who is the owner and she is soooooo nice!! Love her,love her! This is perhaps the most difficult vendor to decide on.My fiance's first and only choice was the Nature's Church in Moonwalk.I did'nt like it there because one, they don't accept outside caterers,two, I'm not much into wood, and three I don't like their chairs.So, we have to scout for churches and venues all over the south.We could'nt possibly go far for Bernie's family are all from Maragondon so you can just imagine the travel time. My father had to scout churches from Parañaque and Las Piñas, my Mom went to look for churches in Alabang, while I google most of the time.(I was'nt a member of w@w then so it was really difficult) .

We also had to look into our budget.During that time I was still naive and feeling so tight fisted.My father told me that the fee to this church is only P6,500 without the flowers.Plus they also have two venues to choose from.So I made some computations and asked my fiance to have an ocular of the place.He fell in love with the church,what with it being so historical.My h2b is so patriotic it makes me sick! :-)So we agreed and booked it.I like this church too.Even though all of my family campaigned against it.The most important thing is that we both like it.

I think they hold masses here every Sunday afternoon.This place is being rented with a Sound System.However,with a lot of fighting and resistance from my fiance,I decided to rent out SS from another vendor.Because I would put mood lights anyway.Mas mura kapag package na.

Now this is how it looks like dolled up! Ang ganda ganda diba? I got this picture from Ria and Fed's blogsite.(Ria is also a w@wie. I hope she won't mind hi hi hi). They have somehow become the benchmark for SJ brides.They hired Lala of Interplay to do the event styling. I think they spent 20k on this alone.Whew!

Lawrence is so easy to deal with.Wala ata akong hiniling na di nya binigay.(Maliban na lang nung binabarat ko talaga sya sa event styling.Or perhaps I should have tried it in the afternoon?Para di bagong gising)He got a lot of good reviews from w@w. His work is the one I'm looking forward to the most.I asked him to do the event styling at the place,set up the flowers for the church and entourage.He is just going to give me local flowers.I don't care much for imported flowers dahil sanay nakong makakita ng tulips( ang yabang!!!) Para sakin mas maganda sila sa garden.Spring lang sila tumutubo dito.Anyway,I got a really good deal from him if I do say so myself :-)

I have always wanted an OTD Coordinator.If I had my way this will be the first supplier I will book ever.It took me a long time to book one since my father was mentioning someone who wanted to volunteer only it turned out differently.Yes! I finally got my excuse to do it.And answered prayer din ako dahil binigay Nya sakin ang Fridays.Covered pa kami ng promo nila.And when I spoke with Carol I felt kinship that I have never experienced with another coordinator.Never mind that they are just three! Bridal Gown for Pick Up! The 2nd Fitting

I know its still too early.I still have 7 months to go and yet here comes the bridal shop saying my gown is now ready for pick up.What can I do but do it?? So after a week I asked my Aunt and Grandma to accompany me and pick up the gown. Here goes..

(In case you're wondering,yes that's my bra showing )

Its still a little bit plain since the beadings on the front and skirt won't be put till February. The size also needs to be altered because its a bit big(kahit na size 2!) .I also want a little sweeping train at the back.

I'm only a little bit disappointed though.It looks like I can't have a strapless gown because of my pitiful small b**bs :-( Baka malaglag kahit na pa alter ko pa yan hu hu hu. Knowing my neurotic self, I will end up glancing at my chest often to see if they are flashing!!!Plus,it seems that the alteration and the beadings will cost the same as the whole gown! Huwahhhhhh!!! Kaya maghahanap pa ako ng ibang seamstress na mas mura.

But I love the ruching skirt :-) It's different and it's the new trend in bridal gowns now.

Does anyone ever read a whole blog? I mean read every sentence there is.Does anyone really care enough to read someone else's thoughts? What exactly does it mean anyway?(gotta google the exact definition)Anyway, I don't care.I think the exact reason someone posts her thoughts on the net is its therapeutic use.I've always wanted to do this. Mostly being alone in my work,the only one who really talks to me is a nine year old boy.I'm always alone in this huge house.Might as well find something to vent out my life in.

Well let me introduce myself.Better not.You'll find out soon enough if you care enough to read.
:-) I just want something to post my pictures at and tell my two cents.You see I'm getting married next year.To my one and only wah.We have been to going out for almost 6 years already.3 of those years being apart from each other.He is back home in Pinas while I am now in Toronto.They say its hard keeping up a long distance love affair.I find it easy.He is always on my mind.I'm pretty sure I am mostly on his.We text each other everyday,call each other every week.However its true that I think we have somehow changed being apart from each other.A friend of mine told me if I'm really sure of marrying him,what being away from each other and all.Sometimes he mentions friends of his that I never know, tells his adventure that I have not experienced with him and I feel a pang of slight jealousy.I am no longer a part of his everyday life.Before,we used to be attached to the hip.Lagi kaming magkasama.Anyway I just tell myself that pretty soon we are going to spend our lives together that there will be a time that I don't want have him with me at all. :-) Anyway,nasaan na ba ako? Ahh,the purpose of this blog.To post my pics and recommendations to all those who are b2bs(brides to be) so that they can have choices and ideas.Especially to southern brides and those who want to get married at Bamboo Organ and have the reception at their hall.Palibhasa kasi wala ako masyado magoogle so,humph! gumawa nga ako.
